My dear children,
Life is full of highs and lows. As you move into adulthood, you will face moments of joy, success, and excitement, but also struggles, setbacks, and uncertainties. Through it all, I want you to remember this: God is your shield, your guide, and your help. No matter what happens, you are never alone.
1. When You Feel Overwhelmed, Trust God as Your Shield
There will be times when life feels too hard—school, work, friendships, or just the pressures of life will weigh on you. You may feel like no one understands or that the odds are stacked against you. But in those moments, remember what David prayed when he was surrounded by enemies:
“But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.” (Psalm 3:3)
God is your protector. Even when you feel alone, He is right there, surrounding you. Instead of carrying stress on your own, bring your burdens to Him. He will sustain you, lift your head, and give you peace.
2. When You Mess Up, Run to God, Not Away
There will be times when you make mistakes, disappoint yourself, or feel like you’ve failed. But let me tell you something: God’s love is not based on your performance. He doesn’t expect you to be perfect, but He does want you to turn to Him when you fall.
“Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” (Psalm 32:1)
Shame tells you to hide. God tells you to come near. When you mess up, don’t stay in guilt—confess, learn, and move forward. God is always ready to forgive and restore you. And as your dad, my love for you is also unconditional—nothing will ever change that.
3. When You Don’t Know What to Do, Look Up
Life will present you with difficult choices—which path to take, who to trust, what decisions to make. Sometimes, you will feel lost, unsure of what’s next. In those moments, don’t just rely on yourself—seek God’s wisdom.
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
When you feel uncertain about the future, remember that God sees the whole picture. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Pray, trust, and take one step at a time. He will guide you.
4. When Life Feels Stuck, Be Patient—God’s Timing is Perfect
Some of the hardest moments in life are the ones where nothing seems to be happening. You will have seasons of waiting—waiting for clarity, waiting for an opportunity, waiting for prayers to be answered. Waiting is never easy, but God is always working, even when you can’t see it.
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope.” (Psalm 130:5)
God’s timing is never late. If something hasn’t happened yet, trust that He knows what’s best for you. Don’t rush ahead or settle for less—God’s plans for you are worth the wait.
My Prayer for You
I pray that you will:
• Trust God when life is hard (Psalm 3).
• Run to Him when you fall (Psalm 32).
• Seek His guidance every day (Psalm 121).
• Be patient in waiting, knowing He is faithful (Psalm 130).
The world will try to distract you, define you, and pressure you, but God is your anchor. He is the One who holds your future, forgives your past, and walks with you today.
And always remember—no matter where you go or what you face, you have a father on earth who loves you deeply, and a Father in heaven who loves you even more.
With all my love,
Dad
